AWAKE

CARAVAN

Day Trips, Short Breaks, Jouneys and Holidays - no caravan required!

This is the AWAKE trips and journeys programme for all members, and any Awake member can take part. It is run by Roger Coates, me! I am happy to share my lifelong experience of independent travel worldwide. The bi-monthly newsletter, and this website, are the only ways to advertise the trips. I do take names at meetings but always wait for the 75% of members who do not come to meetings to read the information and respond. Very early booking gets the best prices. This can be up to three months ahead. Such bookings are usually not refundable. The trips are generally not available commercially or at my price. To book a place or check detail, call or email. When I ask for money it must be paid promptly. Cheques, cash or online banking via me to AWAKE U3A who have already paid out. No instalments. I will hand out lots of information, maps etc. for you to hit the ground running on arrival doing what you want to do. Solo travellers have a chance to tag along with others if you want. I am on all the trips but am not a shepherd or a walking guide. If you get arrested I will pass the hat round for your bail. Trains will leave early and return late to get the best out of the stay. Coach trips will ALWAYS leave on time. Watching the trips it is clear that forming big groups on arrival is not the best way to explore.
