Formerly 'Natural History / Birds'- re-named to reflect our interest across all forms of Outdoor Wildlife
----- Our Group, which has grown in numbers this year, seems at last to have developed the knack of getting the right weather for our meeting days. We welcome prospective new members, with or without their own transport, and are happy for them to try out a visit to see what they are letting themselves in for. Although we currently have 20 members, they never all attend at the same time as everybody has other interests and responsibilities to work round and all we ask is that people let us know in advance if they are coming so that we can be sure of transport and who to let know if plans have to change in the event of predicted bad weather. (It is on these occasions that I wish we ran a nice indoor Group!). We would also welcome any current or prospective member to take over the running of the Group as the 2 current “Leaders” are both developing mobility problems, hardly helpful for an Outdoor Group, – and might be better joining the Board Gamers !

AWAKE U3A Nature Watch Group Programme
Please find below the Provisional Programme for our NatureWatch Group for the coming months.
One departure from our usual arrangement is that we would like to change our Willerby meeting point from the Waitrose Car Park to the farther end of the public car park next to the Sainsbury Local store on Beverley Road, Willerby. It is just off Willerby Square and nearly opposite the Police Station, on the site of the old Railway Station I am told. Those who have met us at the Waitrose Park will know how the traffic can build up in and around the immediate area, sometimes resulting in considerable delays. We hope that the "Willerby Public Car Park" will suit everyone better and want to give it a try starting immediately.

Meeting times and places will vary according to time of year and location/distance to be travelled. Please let us know by email using the 'Bird' link at the top right of this page, or by a telephone call on 654 666 if you are intending to come with us and whether you need transport.
