Hope everyone is coping “One stitch at a time”.
Let’s hope it won’t be long before we can all be together. In the meantime please contact me (see details below) if you need any supplies or help.
The Craft Group meets at the Willerby Methodist Church in Willerby Square at 2pm to 4pm on the 3rd Monday of every month, except Bank Holidays and December (when we have a meal organised). The cost of the new room has necessitated fees being increase to £2.00 per meeting and tea and coffee is available extra.
Our happy band continues to thrive with many talents being unveiled. Come along and have a go, you will be happily welcomed into the Group and maybe surprised at what can be achieved.
If you are not sure what we do, come and have a look at the variety of crafts being done by our group. We are a very friendly, chatting group and very welcoming. Members bring their own projects to work on and also demonstrate to anyone wanting to “know how”. We usually have a Show and Tell Table which gives us inspiration. Whether you are a seasoned crafter or someone who would like to learn a new craft you will be most welcome. We have plenty of resources and equipment to get you started if you want to try something new.
So far we have lace makers, quilters, knitters, crocheters, plastic canvas weavers, cross stitchers, paper crafters and will try any new craft that comes along. Why not join us and start something new. New members are always very welcome to participate or enjoy a crafty chat and tea and biscuits.
Having heard stories of members not being able to craft anymore due to eyesight or physical problems, we would be happy for anyone to come along to our meetings to have a cup of tea/coffee and chat to our crafters. There is always a great variety of projects in progress to be admired and talked about. You would be very welcome, and we look forward to crafting together and to learning new skills together.
Following the Christmas sale and further donations we have donated £150 for the patients of the Breast Cancer ward at Castle Hill Hospital.
If you would like further information please contact Brenda, the group leader, using the 'Bird' link on the top right of this page or by 'phone on 654 830.
