Meetings take place:- The 4th Tuesday of each month except December

When:- 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm

Where:- Baptist Church Hall, Green End Street, Aston Clinton unless stated otherwise

The objective of the group is to make History interesting and relevant to all .

The group does not confine itself to one particular aspect of History .

We endeavour to have a variety of ways to explore our history including outings, speakers and discussions

We invite a wide range of speakers, both group members and others, which cover a broad range of subjects .

Group members are encouraged to share their own interests and contribute to the meetings.

The cost is £2 per meeting unless stated otherwise.

Dates for your Diary
Tue Apr 23rd 2.30pm . Another of our visits to a local church. We will be visiting Great Kimble Church guided by Roger Howgate who has a great deal of knowledge of the local area. Further details to follow.
Tue May 28th 2.30pm. Baptist Church Hall. A talk on the Belgian Royal Family by Melanie Gibson-Barton. The talk has the rather intriguing title of ‘Murder, Madness and Mayhem?’
Tue Jun 25th 2.30pm. Baptist Church Hall. A talk by Keith Murass on the KGB.
Thu Jul 25th 2.30 Please note change from Tuesday to Thursday for our visit to Claydon House. This will be a private guided tour so this limits numbers to 30. The cost will be £3 for National Trust members and £12.50 for those who are not members. Please pay by cash at the Main Meeting or the History meeting by end of May. Further details to follow.
Tue Aug 27th 2.30 Baptist Church Hall. The history and members memories of picnics they have prepared and attended.
Tue Sep 24th 10.30 am Old Amersham Museum. Please note this is a morning visit to the museum followed by a guided walk for those that wish to learn about ‘ The Early Development of Amersham’ of 1.5 to 2hrs. The cost of this visit is £13 per person or £9 if not doing the walk. This promises to be a very interesting session.
Tue Oct 22nd 2.30pm. Baptist Church Hall. Talk by Phil. More details to follow.
Tue Nov 26th 2.30 Baptist Church Hall. TBA
Tue Dec 24th There will be no meeting this month. Happy Christmas.
