Thu Dec 5thEventsBLENHEIM PALACE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS TRAIL. Thursday 5th December 2019.

I have provisionally booked 50 tickets for the Blenheim Palace Christmas Lights Trail for the evening of Thursday 5th December 2019.

The total cost will be in the region of £29 per person, which includes the entrance fee and Coach fare.

The coach will leave Aston Clinton at 5pm, as we have a timed entrance at 6.30pm. We will have between 2 and 2 1/2 hours at the venue. There will be a German Christmas Market as well as kiosks selling food and hot drinks.

The entrance tickets have to be paid for by the end of August, and so I will need a cheque for £17 per person at the AUGUST General Meeting, with the balance due at the NOVEMBER General Meeting.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. 12th September 2019.

The tickets for this trip have now been booked. As I will only receive them 1 week before we go, I will give them out on the coach. We have a booked entrance time of 6.30pm, so we will leave Aston Clinton at 5pm sharp, and will depart from Blenheim at 9.00 pm. I will collect the coach fare of £11 per person at the November monthly meeting.

Thu Mar 19thEventsTutankhamun in Chelsea. Thursday 19th March 2020.
I have had to book this trip very early as it is expected to sell out very quickly.
Over 150 artifacts are coming to London, 60 of which have never left Egypt before. These are going to be on display at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
I have booked a tour called "Tutankhamen in Chelsea".. The tour starts at the National Army Museum for refreshments and to meet our Blue Badge Guide. We then have a coach tour through Kensington and Chelsea, where Howard Carter was born and died. Our guide will explain how Tutankhamen and Egypt influenced the 1920's in architecture, fashion and other areas.
We have lunch (not included) in the Kings Road, before visiting the exhibition. It is nearly 100 years since the tomb was discovered, and the last time the treasures will visit London before they take up a permanant resting place in Egypt.
Please note that the famous death mask will not be on display because it has been deemed too fragile to travel.
The total cost of the trip will be around £50 per person, but I have to pay the £21 per person entry fee when I confirm the numbers.
I will need a cheque of £21 per person, payable at the April monthly meeting, with the balance due in early 2020.
I have booked places for 50 people, but need a minimum of 40 people to make the coach cost viable.
I will have an interest list for the March 2019 monthly meeting, but please remember your place is not guaranteed untill I receive your deposit cheque. Trina.
