The Music Group meets at the Elim church, Waterside Park, Ashbourne on the 4th Friday of each month at 10.15 a.m. New people are always welcome.
We try to cater for a wide range of musical tastes and make particular use of DVD's of the more visual forms of music, such as operas, concerts, and ballet. Members' contributions are very welcome: a presentation on Portuguese Fado guitar music was fascinating, and we much enjoyed a recorder recital in January 2016 and an account of what it was like to be a chorister for the Coronation. We go to concerts in Nottingham that promise to be enjoyable and viable several times a year. We are always happy to see new members at our monthly meetings.

After our summer break, we're ready to begin a new season which I hope will be stimulating and varied. We recently watched a film called "In search of Haydn", which met with approval. On Sept. 27th at 10.15, Waterside, we shall see how the same director approaches Frederick Chopin,
Our numbers were starting to thin, so I hope to see new faces among the familiar, and to hear what you'd like see and watch 2019/20. (By the way, we briefly chat over coffee and biscuits!
