The group was founded and led by Knighton Butterworth but is now looking for a new leader.

Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic the Music Group met at the Elim church, Waterside Park, Ashbourne on the 4th Friday of each month at 10.15 a.m.
It tried to cater for a wide range of musical tastes and made particular use of DVDs of the more visual forms of music, such as operas, concerts, and ballet.
Members' contributions were very welcome: a presentation on Portuguese Fado guitar music was fascinating, a recorder recital in January 2016 was much enjoyed as was an account of what it was like to be a chorister for the Coronation. Concerts in Nottingham were attended several times a year.
New members at our monthly meetings were always welcome.
