There is no need to be a member of the Garden Group to attend our trips or to commit to any specific number of visits. Once at the location you are free to do exactly what you want - we wander around in small groups or alone!
Transport costs are estimated - the more people that come the cheaper it will be. We normally give a rebate on the day if numbers allow a reduction in the charge. Costs are published on the website event and in the Newsletter once we have an idea if numbers.
Please note that payment for the transport is required TWO WEEKS before the trip - please make cheques payable to 'Ashbourne and District U3A' and either bring to the Monthly Meeting or send to Patti Green, Valley View, Cross O Th Hands, Turnditch Belper DE56 2LT or to Sue Dandy 43 Peak View Drive Ashbourne DE6 1BR
Cancellation - in the unlikely event that you need to cancel PLEASE ring one of the Organisers to let us know at your earliest opportunity. If you can get someone to take your place please do so - if not we will try and repay transport fees in part or in full - but we CANNOT do so if we have not covered our costs.

|Tue Jul 5th||Tuesday Felley Priory Garden Visit - The herbaceous borders are the highlight of the summer months and are renowned for their truly spectacular display. The walled rose garden is filled with old fashioned roses – Gallicias, Bourbons, Moss Roses, Damasks, Albas and Chinensis. Under the old Elizabethan wall are many agapanthus and some tender shrubs. The borders around the old walls have a mixture of trees and shrubs underplanted by geraniums, hostas, digitalis and meconopsis, amongst others. In the centre of the garden, the pergolas are covered with roses, vines, clematis and lonicera, and are surrounded by yew topiary birds. This area was one of the first parts of the garden to be established and was designed to reflect the age and brickwork of the priory itself. Teashop and very good nursery.|
