Thu Jun 13thCurrent AffairsWe were fortunate at our May meeting that Bob Hodgson led a discussion on the seemingly boring subject of taxation. But the way Bob did it was light years away from boring! It was fascinating and eye opening and we actually laughed a lot.

On Thursday 13th June, the subject will be “Crisis in the Middle East - why?”. We will look at the background to the perennial troubles there and talk about Britain’s relationship with some of its most valuable trading partners that have appalling human rights traditions. Not sure we’ll laugh a lot.
