Intermediate Walking

Walks of between 6 and 10 miles usually with a pub lunch en route, on the third Thursday of each month. In the winter months the walks are usually a bit shorter, ending with lunch at a pub.
The walks are local, taking advantage of the wonderful Sussex countryside but with some travelling to the starting points, this may be by public transport or car shares can be arranged.
The walks are not intended to be too arduous although on the Downs there are inevitably some gradients and stiles to climb. Good boots and some waterproof clothing are advised. The emphasis is on healthy exercise and a social get together, rather than conquering the elements.

Here are some photos from the August 2023 walk from Singleton to the Trundle.
