Ramblers

Arden U3A is surrounded by beautiful countryside and the aim of the Ramblers group is to enjoy exploring this together. North, we have the Staffordshire and Derbyshire moors and dales; to our east, Northamptonshire has some lovely rolling hills; Warwickshire and the Cotswolds have much to offer in the south; and Shropshire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire offer so much to the west – what better way to get out and about than in a group of like-minded people!
We meet on the first Friday of the month; travel is in members’ cars and there are always spare seats for anyone without their own transport; we usually start from the inn where our walk will end, in time for lunch and a well-earned drink! The group is self-supporting and different members take it in turns to lead the walks which are around 6 miles. We expect to be out for up to three hours, including a short refreshment stop en route (bring your own drink and snack), walking along field paths, towpaths, up and down gentle hills, with lovely views to lift the spirit. Come and join us!
