Arbroath

Welcome

Welcome to our web-site. If you are retired or no longer in full-time work, you can look forward to joining us at Arbroath U3A.

U3A stands for University of the Third Age. University is used in the broadest sense of meaning “universal” or “for all”. You need no qualifications and you sit no exams. The Third Age is a time of greater freedom and opportunity to share learning, leisure and social interests. We aim to learn through enjoying different activities.

We meet in the Scout Headquarters on Keptie Road, usually on weekday afternoons. Our choice of activities can be viewed on our Groups page and you can get involved as suits you. We have regular Open Days where we enjoy a stimulating presentation by a guest speaker, then have a coffee or tea and catch up with friends. Seasonal activities are often included and we enjoy social outings too.

It is inexpensive to join. A year's subscription is £25 and gives exceptional value for money and may just provide a new lease of life. Our outings and other occasional get-togethers are always very enjoyable, and the organisers make every effort to keep costs at a reasonable level.

You might also wish to share with us interests and skills of your own. If after joining you would like to lead a new group, you would get every encouragement to do so from members who would love to learn from you.

Please take a little more time to view the Groups and Events pages which will give you more of a feel for our club. Don't hesitate to contact us, join us on an open day or come along to a group for a "taster” session . You will get a warm welcome.

Thank you for visiting our web-site. We hope you will become our next member. Learn Laugh Live with Arbroath u3a
