Book Group

The book group currently has about 12 members and meets once a month on Thursday afternoon. This interval is just about right for begging, borrowing, stealing or buying the chosen book – not to mention reading it!
At the meetings we discuss the book. These discussions can be lively if there are strongly differing opinions. Sometimes we more or less agree about the book and there is not so much to say then!
The way that we chose the book varies. Sometimes we follow a theme and other times we read a book recommended by a member of the group. We have had a Scottish theme and were amazed at the available choice. We enjoyed reading old favourites as well as discovering new talents.
Needless to say the complete group are ‘book addicts’ and members bring along to meetings anything that they have enjoyed.
