Geology (In Abeyance)

GEOLOGY GROUP.

The group is currently without a co-ordinator and so is IN SUSPENSION. However, a number of previous members now attend the GEOLOGY groups of Wooler U3A or Berwick U3A where the current coordinator is a geologist. Both Berwick and Wooler are part of our local U3A network.

However, if anyone is interested in restarting and co-ordinating this group from Alnwick then contact the Groups Co-ordinator. Any further details will appear in our newsletters.

The geology group HAS PREVIOUSLY met on the morning of the fourth Tuesday of each month. The group has visited geological sites within the region and shared transport to do this. Outdoor field visits have been from March - November. None in December. Meetings in January and February have involved watching videos and some practical work.

Venue for meetings: From September 2017 any future meetings will take place at St Michael’s Church Hall, junction of Canongate/Walkergate, Alnwick.
