The Group meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 2.00 p.m. when we discuss composers, singers and view DVDs.
We decide on a theme, e.g. Verdi & Shakespeare, French composers, baritone leads etc., which we follow until our mood changes.
In January 2019 we shall pick up our occasional series, "Dying to Beautiful Music". We have reached the letter V - and in an abbreviated session, we shall just highlight the heart-rending death of Violetta from Verdi's LA TRAVIATA.
In February,we shall link between Manuela Hoelterhoff's delightful book highlighting back-stage scenes at The Met and the DVD of James Levine's 25th Anniversary Gala Concert.
March sees us continuing glorious mezzo-soprano voices. We conclude a couple of "C" names and perhaps find time to start on "D".
