Aberdeen u3atricals
At the moment we are a small team of enthusiasts whose main aim is to have as good time as possible and along the way create and perform a Christmas pantomime. We are always on the lookout for new recruits and you do not have to be a would-be Sir Laurence Olivier or Dame Judy Dench to join! You don't have to learn lines or even move about much - so far our pantomimes have been a no-singing, no-dancing affair. The main requirement is enthusiasm, a good sense of humour - and the ability to drink countless cups of tea!
We have now presented three pantomimes. Our first one, 'Sleeping Beauty', went 'live' at the 2019 Christmas party. However, subsequently our activities have been confined to Zoom - but the group has still managed to complete and perform pantomimes in both 2020 ('Lockdown Pantomime') and 2021 ('Aberdeen u3atricals does University Challenge') using this digital platform.
We are looking forward to performing live in the very near future. Assistance with rehearsing the cast and creating scenery, props and costumes would be very welcome.
The group will probably resume meetings around the end of August at a mutually convenient time.
