Wisbech

Welcome

Welcome to the Wisbech u3a, supporting Wisbech and the surrounding villages.
---------------------------------------------------
Many people, if not most people, have never heard of u3a and we are very keen to do something about that. We are part of an international organisation with more than 1000 groups in the UK. Our group in Wisbech was formed about 13 years ago and now has nearly 180 members. Membership is drawn from those no longer in full time employment and we offer the opportunity to make new friends and develop new interests with like-minded people. Our motto is "Learn, Laugh, Live" in what we call our third age.

We hold a monthly Open Meeting in St. Peter’s Church Hall, Wisbech at 2.30pm on the second Thursday of each month and this provides an ideal opportunity to come along and find out more about us. You will be made most welcome. We always have a guest speaker, refreshments, and a raffle, as well as a display giving fuller details of our many activities. Free Parking is available in the adjacent Vicarage Car Park.

Our activities and special interest groups are quite diverse and cater for a wide range of leisure, social and educational interests. If you have an interest or skill that you would like to follow, develop, or share with others then look no further - u3a is for you!

Our membership costs are:
Single membership - £18:00
Joint membership (2 people living at the same address) - £33:00
Associate membership (already a member of another u3a) - £15:00
