Bridge for Beginners

Autumn Term starts 7th September.

It is a one year introductory course; no previous experience required
though familiarity with card games is an advantage.

The course introduces players to practical bidding and card play, so
that they can confidently join the Tuesday afternoon Bridge group.
'Bridge' by Andrew Robson, from the Collins: need to know? series is
the recommended reading for the course.

While the emphasis is on play the group is purposely small so that
there is adequate opportunity for questions, and to explore
opportunities afforded by unusual card distributions.

The course runs weekly at the tutor's home in Shirley on a Tuesday
