OUR GROUPS
Tynedale U3A has over 50 groups whose activities cover a broad spectrum of interests. Each group organises its own meeting time and venue. If it is necessary to hire a venue the cost is shared equally amongst its group members but all payments for rooms are made through the Tynedale u3a Treasurer. Most groups meet for around two hours.
The contact for each group is the convenor(s) who organise the venue and keeps a record of attendees. However, each group is a collective venture that works best with active input from all members particularly in regard to organising the programme of group activities.

JOINING A GROUP
If you are interested in joining a group, or attending a group for a trial session, please contact the convenor to discuss the way forward. Some groups already meet the maximum capacity of their venue. If you are making contact by e-mail please include a phone number if possible. Sometimes group meetings have to be changed at short notice and in those circumstances a contact number is useful.

STARTING A GROUP
If you have an idea for a new group activity we can list it here on the web site but in the first instance the best way to promote a new activity is to publicise it in the newsletter. Newsletter entries can be sent direct to the newsletter editor (contact details on the contacts page).
