Welcome to Thirsk U3A
Our U3A was formed in 1997, operating under the umbrella of the Third Age Trust, which is a central coordinating organisation, a registered charity and a limited company.
We belong to The Yorkshire & The Humber Region of the U3A.
Our mission is the coming together in friendship to find joy and renewal in recreation, learning and teaching, through a vibrant, effective, local U3A.
Activities are run by members for members, who share their interest and skills in a friendly informal way. You do not have to be an expert. Since we learn for the pleasure of learning no qualifications are required and none given.
Our monthly meeting takes place in the Parochial Hall in Sowerby on the second Tuesday of the month at 10am for a 10-15am start. After notices and announcements, we have an interesting speaker each month.
The annual subscription is £20.00
We have special interest groups, outings and trips away.
