Skegness

Hello and Welcome to Skegness U3A.

U3A - The University of the Third Age - is a self learning organisation for retired or semi-retired people. The U3A provides opportunities for members to share their interests, knowledge and skills, and to learn from each other, keeping the mind and body active, raising self-esteem and forging new friendships.

At Skegness U3A we provide social, recreational and educational activities. We hold our general meetings at The Storehouse on North Parade on the third Wednesday of the month. Members arrive at 9:30 for a 10:00am start.

Group activities are an important part of the U3A. We have all had interesting experiences and pastimes we can share with others. The groups meet regularly according to what suits the members. Details of the current groups are shown on the website.

We are always keen to set up new groups. In the past have had Musical Appreciation, Singing for Fun, Creative Writing, Discussion, Computer, Photography and Theatre visits. Any group subject is possible when there are people willing to contribute and participate.

If you have a skill or hobby you would like to share with others, we would be pleased for you to join us. Equally, you would be welcome to come along to our monthly get-together when we will have a speaker or a coffee morning, or to come to one of our groups, where you will make many new friends and enjoy new experiences.

Annual membership for the current year ( May 23 to May 2024 ) is £20.00. This figure is reviewed each year and agreed at the AGM.
