General Overview
Courses and Seminars
Subject to demand we plan to run six courses. These are likely to include: Creative Craft (Fabric Pictures); Drawing; Drug Discovery (Where our Medicines Come From); Play Writing (Creating Characters); Strolling to Admire Nature; Technology (Introduction to Programming).
Participants choose one topic to study, in a group, for the two half-days and one full day of the Summer School. There will also be alternative talks/activities for the last session on both afternoons.
Accommodation
Choice of Accommodation on University of Stirling Campus
Stirling Court Hotel: classic ensuite double bedrooms (for single or double occupancy).
Twin room for double occupancy (limited number)
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in Stirling Court Hotel where there is also a bar with drinks and bar meals.
OR
Willow Court (University Guest Accommodation): a 10-minute walk or short car journey from Stirling Court Hotel. Breakfast will be served there but all other meals are at Stirling Court Hotel.
There will be both full board residential and day delegate rates available.
Travel
Stirling is easily accessible by road, rail and bus. Stirling Court Hotel can be reached by a 10- minute taxi or 15-minute bus from the rail or bus station. There is free parking on site but cars must be registered in the reception area of the hotel.
