CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES

Enjoying Preston Park u3a? Want to give something back?
As a group run by members for members, there are always opportunities to volunteer in the running of our u3a. At present we are looking for members for the following roles:

Speaker Secretary - to organise and liaise with speakers for our monthly general meetings

Hall Stewards - to help set up and clear up Knoyle Hall for our monthly general meetings

Digital Archivist - to set up a digital archive of important records of our u3a.

u3a NATIONAL EVENTS

National u3a Summer Festival
The first national u3a Summer Festival is being planned to take place in York from 18th to 20th July. For details and to book go to https://www.u3a.org.uk/events/festival-2024.

South East u3a Forum Summer School
Details are now available of the courses on offer at the South East u3a Forum’s Summer School from Monday 2nd to Thursday 5th September 2024 at Chichester University. You can book from 11th April at SouthEastu3aForum Summer School.

Online learning events
u3a members can join a wide range of online talks, workshops and courses for free with their membership. They are hosted on Zoom. See what’s coming up and book at u3a Third Age Trust Learn online.

There are some 'How to Guides' for using Zoom and other tools if you are unfamiliar with them.

You can also sign up to the events mailing to get details of monthly online events sent straight to your inbox.

These events are very popular - it pays to book early.
