Newcastle u3a monthly meetings at Brunswick Church Hall

  • Everyone is welcome including prospective members
  • Our general meeting with a guest speaker with doors opening at 1:40 for 2pm to 3.30pm on the second Wednesday of the month.
  • Our list of speakers and topics speaker
  • We end with refreshments and a chat with friends.
  • If you'd like to come along for the first time, please let us know Contact us so we can make sure you have a 'buddy' to guide you and that you receive a warm welcome.

Newcastle u3a group meetings

  • We have nearly 40 groups. Usually, each group usually meets monthly but some meet more often.
  • Some meet at our Pink Lane meetings rooms, some members' homes, some at other venues.
  • Each of our Groups is self-programming and their success relies on the active participation and contributions by its members, co-ordinated by their Group Leader.

Members may attend any and all sessions (events & groups) but you should contact the relevant Group Leader to find out if a Group that you wish to attend for the first time, has vacancies. See our Groups.

U3A FESTIVAL: York University, 18th – 20th July 2024
A special event to which we are all invited.
Newcastle u3a has set up a working group to encourage and co-ordinate our participation.
Options to stay at the University, or travel daily by coach.

Based on actual events, the title says it all. This is about a British ship sent on a secret mission round the coast of South America in the 18th C. The crew endure terrible storms, disease, and shipwreck. Eventually, a few return to England and give conflicting accounts in the ensuing court trials.
