Hi Everyone,
Remember that our meetings are held at Enderby Civic Centre on the third Wednesday of each month at 1.30pm. Where you can get a cuppa, with a biscuit, socialise with friends and listen to an entertaining speaker. All for an entrance fee of £2.00.
U3A stands for The University of the Third Age, and better described as utilising your third age with interesting groups, learning new skills, social activities and much more. Each U3A is an independent organisation operated locally throughout the country and run by volunteers. The U3A brings together people who have retired, or semi retired, from active employment and who want to learn new skills or continue to pursue old hobbies or interests in the company of others. This is a non-academic organisation with the focus on Learn, Laugh and Live!
The aim is to draw on the knowledge, experience and skills of its members to organise and provide interest groups, thereby creating educational, creative and leisure opportunities with each other in a friendly environment. It's all about Learning, Laughing and Living.
Enderby Area U3A was formed over twenty years ago. We have an increasing number of interest groups and our membership continues to grow.
Our location is such that we are able to welcome people from many surrounding villages.
We meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 1.45pm in the Civic Centre in Enderby, doors open at 1.30, where we are happy to welcome full members and visitors alike. We enjoy a variety of lively and interesting speakers, followed by refreshments, making it a pleasant social occasion. There is an annual registration fee currently £13.00 , and an entrance fee of £2.00.
