Welcome

Welcome to The DEEPINGS' u3a website

Registered charity no. 1166782

Thank you for choosing The Deepings u3a website to learn more about what we do and how you can benefit as a member yourself.

The Deepings is the collective name given to a delightful group of historic villages in South Kesteven comprising Market Deeping, Deeping St James, Deeping Gate, West Deeping and Deeping St Nicholas.

The Deepings u3a is part of the nationwide organisation, University of the Third Age, a self-help organisation of people no longer in full-time employment, providing education, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment. Anyone in their third age can join The Deepings u3a and this includes people who are working part time. All you need is interest and enthusiasm.

The Deepings u3a has over 30 groups, which can offer you the opportunity to learn and share skills and knowledge and make new friends. Groups are led by members who are happy to share their expertise and enthusiasm. Our newsletter provides a monthly update of activities.

If you are interested in joining our u3a, why not come along to one of our monthly meetings which are held on the 3rd Monday of the month at the Methodist Church, Church Street, Deeping St James. We have a varied programme of speakers. Our membership for 2024 is £10 full members and £6 Associate members. Our application process and forms can be found at the the Join Tab at the top.

You are very welcome to come to a couple of our meetings as a guest, before you decide to become a member. We are always looking for new friends to join us. The Committee look forward to meeting you.
