Dronfield & District

Welcome to our U3A

About the U3A
Dronfield and District U3A was formed in October 2013. We are part of the Derbyshire and East Midlands U3A Network. Like all other U3As we are unique, but operate within the national U3A guidelines and philosophy. Our membership is drawn predominantly but not exclusively from the areas of Dronfield, Dronfield Woodhouse, Coal Aston, Holmesfield and Unstone. Members from other U3As are welcome to join.

Membership
Details of our current fees are available on the Join page. If you have any questions about joining or re-joining us please email our Membership Secretary or telephone 01246 417458.

Interest Groups
We have over 40 Interest Groups. For general information about how they operate, and contact details for each of them, see the Groups page. Our Groups List explains each group in more detail. Some groups also publish information about future meetings on the Dronfield and District U3A Calendar.

Monthly General Meetings
All members are invited to attend our monthly General Meetings. Potential members are welcome to attend up to two of these meetings. They are normally held at the Civic Hall, Dronfield, S18 1PD on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, from 10.00-12.00. The meetings provide an opportunity to discuss business, to meet other members, share information about group activities and hear talks by visiting speakers. Dates and details, including speakers and venues, are on the News (Newsletters and Monthly General Meetings) page.

Newsletters
We publish a monthly newsletter, which is emailed to all members. Printed copies are sent to members without email. Copies of recent issues can be found on the News (Newsletters and Monthly General Meetings) page. We hope they will give a flavour of our U3A, reflecting the wide range of interests and the friendly and welcoming nature of our members.

Executive Committee
Our U3A is run by an Executive Committee which meets once a month. For the minutes of previous meetings see Executive Committee Minutes.

Policies, Protocols and Guidelines
All of these are available on our Policies, Protocols and Guidelines page.
