Groups
Lichfield u3a offers a wide variety of friendly and informal interest and activity groups. Through these, you may find just the opportunity you've been waiting for, to try out something new, or to develop your skills.
If you are not sure what you would like to do and wish to speak to someone, then contact Judith Thorpe, our Chair, via the Contact page or email her on lichfieldu3a@gmail.com.
To find out more about a particular group, click on its title in the table below to bring up that group’s webpage. For more details, or to join, get in touch with the Group Leader by clicking the Contact link at the top of the their page and leaving a message.
Coronavirus restrictions All our groups have returned to pre-pandemic arrangements. Please refer to each group's page for meeting details, or see the paragraph below.
On the right of this page, and from the Links page, are a link "Groups Programme". This link shows the Group Meetings Programme and the Meetings each day. These tables give an overview of all group meeting days and times. This was last updated August 2022.
Want to start a new group?
Although we have a wide variety of groups, there's always room for more! For ideas, please see our Potential New Groups in the list below. If you have an idea for a new group and would like to assess people's interest, ask the group Co-ordinator (via the Contact tab) to contact all members to see if there is anyone else who'd like to find out more. Ask the Group Co-ordinator for help in setting up your new group.
Perhaps there's a group that you'd like to join, but it's full? Other members might be in a similar position. You could set up another group. We have many examples of more than one group within one area of interest e.g. Art Appreciation, Poetry, etc. Contact the Group Co-ordinator (via the Contact tab) if you need help.
