Horndean and District u3a was started in May 2008 and now has just over 200 members. We are part of the u3a Movement about which you can find information by clicking of the logo at the top of this page. The running of our u3a is governed by our Constitution which was updated in 2015 to comply with best practice and legislation using the model constitution provided by the Third Age Trust as a guide. It was further amended in 2018 to revise the definition of Charitable Purposes in line with the revised guidance from The Third Age Trust and again in 2019 to increase the maximum number of terms that members can serve in specified roles on the Committee.
