Ninety Study Days

The Surrey U3A Network has been presenting Study Days since October 2004 and since October 2005 they have been held at the Menuhin Hall, Stoke d'Abernon. In March 2012 we celebrated our Sixtieth Study Day. The celebration cake which is shown below was made by Pippa Carter from Bookham U3A. The title of the Study Day presented by Mick Wright was Volcanoes, Earthquakes and Tsunamis, and these topics were represented on the cake by Pele, Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes, Poseidon, Greek god of earthquakes and tsunamis, and Ragnarok, the doom of the gods. We held our Ninetieth Study Day in November 2015 and this was also our Eightieth at the Menuhin Hall. In October 2015 we had our Tenth Anniversary at the Hall and members attending were given a souvenir CD of performances by pupils by Ambie Desoutter, Menuhin Hall Manager.
