FINAL APPEAL FOR NEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS INCLUDING A TREASURER

For various reasons we are losing three Committee members this year, Business Secretary, Treasurer and Chairman. We have, through vigorous recruiting, been able to replace the Chairman and Business Secretary. This will obviously depend on the membership voting for the people who have agreed to stand.

However we are still struggling to find someone to take on the role of Treasurer.
This position is one of the main Officers of the Committee without which our U3A cannot exist. We really need someone to help us fill this position.

The Committee works very well together and I know that any help that is required will be given to the person who takes on this role. A laptop comes along with new software which will help to simplify the accounts and to make the position your own.
Nominations have to be received by our next General Meeting on 17th April. Please contact any of your Committee members if you need more information.
Keith Snowden.
Chairman.

N.N.N.G. RECIPROCAL STATEMENT.

I said at our last meeting that I would update everyone when we had the result of the N.N.N.G. meeting. On the 28th March they agreed that :
A policy had been agreed whereby members of any U3A within North Notts could attend another North Notts U3A’s Interest Group, provided they could be accommodated, without having to join that U3A. If however they attend the General Meetings then they must join that U3A.
These members would also have to pay any costs of the activities that they joined.
The groups already committed are Ashfield, Dukeries, Hucknall, Mansfield, Sherwood, Sutton-in-Ashfield and Worksop. At the time of going to print both Retford and Ashfield have to confirm that they are willing to be part of this venture.
Please contact our Group Co-ordinator, Denise Gregory, if you have any queries.
Keith Snowden. ( Chairman )
