Welcome to Tewkesbury & District U3A

Tewkesbury & District U3A has been running very successfully for twenty five years (25th Anniversary in 2016). Our umbrella organisation is the Third Age Trust. No qualification is required other than that you are not in full-time work, and there's no age restriction either! Come and join us, to make friends, improve your mental and physical health and have an enjoyable time. We are a Registered Charity, Charity No. 1029447

There are about 40 different weekly or monthly activities, happening throughout the daytime [mostly weekdays, some more than once a week], with friendly group leaders, and over 680 members enjoying the following activities: -

Arts and Crafts - art at Bredon; art for beginners; history of art and design; needlecraft; painting for pleasure; photography

Languages - French; German; Spanish; Latin

Leisure and Pleasure - Bridge for duplicate pairs; garden visits; mah jong; solos [single members]

Let's Get Moving - bowls [short mat]; table tennis; walking [easy, moderate and energetic walks]; petanque; kurling

Music and Literature - creative writing; discovering music; opera appreciation; poetry for pleasure; Tewkesbury book circle

Studies and Discussions - computers and internet; discussion group; family history; natural history; Roman history
