Burnley

Exploring Poetry Together

The group meet on the second Thursday of each month, at Coal Clough Library Burnley, 10 to 11 30 a.m.

Members, if they wish, can select poems by poets of their choice for reading and discussion.

2014 begins with members presenting a poem which reflects their love or hate of Winter.

The following months individual members will present Poems written for children, poems from other Cultures, poems by the recently deceased Seamus Heaney and poems by Philip Larkin.

We will also have sessions respecting the centenary of the First World War by discussing poems by WW1 poets and present day poets influenced by the war.

All welcome to these enjoyable and stimulating meetings.
